As part of our dissemination programme, UKRIO has co-sponsored or contributed to a number of major conferences and workshops on research integrity and misconduct in research.
In March 2010, UKRIO co-sponsored a one-day conference which explored how to foster closer collaboration between higher education, the health service and the private sector. Other co-sponsors included Universities UK, the Medical Schools Council and the Council of Deans of Health. Staff from UKRIO led sessions describing the work of our organisation and why it is vital for organisations to promote good practice in research, rather than assume it is always self-evident.
In November 2008, UKRIO, Universities UK and the Joint Information Systems Committee (JISC) co-sponsored a conference on tackling plagiarism and academic misconduct. Details of the conference programme, including copies of the presentations made at the conference are available.
In April 2008, UKRIO, along with Research Councils UK, Universities UK, the Wellcome Trust and other organisations, co-sponsored a policy workshop on the Governance of Good Research Conduct in the UK.
