International
As misconduct in research does not respect international boundaries, UKRIO participates in the discussions and initiatives to support good governance of research led by international organisations such as the OECD and the European Network of Research Integrity Offices, of which it is a founder member.
UKRIO is currently working with the OECD and research integrity organisations in other countries to create templates for international agreements to facilitate investigations of alleged misconduct in research on cross-boundary projects and to promote good practice in research.
UKRIO provides advice and guidance on issues of good practice and misconduct in research relating to any multi-national projects that involve UK research organisations or research carried out in the UK.
UKRIO has been involved in several international conferences on research integrity and will participate in an advisory capacity in the development of the Second World Conference on Research Integrity, scheduled to take place in 2010.
